The YouTube app is no longer available on Apple devices with iOS 15 and older - you'll have to use the web version

Google has released update 20.22.1 for the YouTube app, after which the video hosting stopped running on outdated Apple gadgets.

Here's What We Know

Google excluded all devices up to iOS 16 from the list.

Thus, the YouTube app will no longer work on:

• iPhone 6s and 6s Plus
• iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
• First generation iPhone SE
• iPod Touch 7
• iPad Air 2
• iPad Mini 4

Anyone who is used to watching YouTube on said devices will have to do so on the web version or purchase a more current device.
