Israel likely to attack Iran's nuclear facilities soon despite US warnings

US intelligence has obtained data indicating that Israel is actively preparing for a potential military strike on Iran's nuclear infrastructure, despite Washington's attempts to reach a diplomatic settlement with Tehran.
Here's What We Know
CNN reports that U.S. officials familiar with the intelligence have noted signs of possible Israeli preparations for an attack. These include the movement of aircraft munitions, the completion of air exercises, as well as intercepted communications and other data indicating an increased likelihood of such a step.
According to the sources, Israel has not yet made a final decision to launch the operation. At the same time, there is growing domestic concern in the United States about the risk that Israel may act independently of American diplomacy.
Tel Aviv's decision may depend on the progress of negotiations between the US and Iran. According to people familiar with Israel's position, the prospect of a new nuclear deal being sought by the Trump administration only increases the anxiety of Israeli leaders. This is especially true of a possible agreement that does not provide for the complete removal of Iran's enriched uranium.
On 15 May, Donald Trump said that the United States was close to reaching a deal with Iran, and that Tehran had allegedly agreed to its terms. At the same time, Iranian sources claim that there are still significant differences in the negotiations.
So far, neither the US National Security Council nor the Israeli Prime Minister's Office has provided an official comment. The Israeli Embassy in Washington refused to respond to journalists' inquiries.
