Bill Gates plans to donate his entire $200 billion fortune to charity over 20 years

Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, has confirmed that in the coming years he plans to get rid of almost all of his wealth, including $200 billion, which will go to charity. He wrote about this in his personal blog, summing up the results of 20 years of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
What we know
In the text, Gates states that his main goal is to die a poor man, as "everything extra should work for those who really need it". His priorities remain the same: fighting infectious diseases, healthcare, vaccination, support for education and technology development for the world's poorest regions.

Since 2000, the foundation has already spent more than $53 billion on global initiatives, including the Gavi programme, the fight against polio and support for agriculture in Africa.
Gates also noted that he wants to accelerate the pace of "giving back" and is not waiting for retirement age to implement his intentions. According to him, large fortunes are only meaningful when they are turned into solutions to problems, not status symbols.
