Return to the world of Sea of Stars: free DLC Throes of the Watchmaker with 8 hours of content coming soon
Fans of the magical RPG Sea of Stars, get ready for a new portion of adventure. Sabotage Studio has just announced the release date and revealed some details of the upcoming free DLC called Throes of the Watchmaker. The add-on, which will be available to absolutely all players, will come to all platforms on 20 May 2025.
Here's What We Know
As the name of the DLC suggests, the new story will revolve around the Watchmaker, a character who invented the board game Wheels and designed the Clockwork Castle. Zele and Valere will travel to a miniature mechanical world called Horloge, which is threatened by a mysterious cursed carnival.
In this new world, the main characters will receive new classes: Zele will become a juggler and Valere will become an acrobat. These new specialisations will give them unique attacks and combos, so veterans of the game will have to forget about old tactics. They will also be joined by a third, previously unplayable character, the Master, whom you may remember from the main campaign.
Throes of the Watchmaker is a separate storyline with about eight hours of new content. Players will find a fresh location and new characters, cinematic cutscenes, and new music from returning composer Eric W. Brown. The legendary Yasunori Mitsuda also joined the DLC soundtrack as a guest composer.
If you loved the original Sea of Stars, this DLC will offer you even more of what you loved about it. And most importantly, it's completely free, so you should definitely return to this magical world!
