Valve has officially launched the second season of Counter-Strike 2's premiere mode, introducing a new pool of active maps and changes to the characteristics of some rifles.

Here's What We Know

In the new season, the Train map has been returned to the active pool, replacing Vertigo. Train made its debut in CS2 in November with an updated design and additional effects such as rain. Vertigo became less popular among professional players, which led to its replacement.

Among the changes in weapons:

  • M4A4: price reduction to $2900, which corresponds to the cost of the M4A1-S.
  • FAMAS: price reduced to $1950, improved accuracy when firing from a standing and sitting position.
  • AUG and SG: updated sights for more convenient use at a distance.
  • MP9, MP5-SF, and MP7: reduced accuracy when firing from a seated position, making them less effective at long distances.

Players who are rated in the first season will receive a commemorative medal with detailed season statistics. To get a medal for the second season, you need to win 10 matches in the premier mode. The season will end after the BLAST.tv Austin CS2 Major, which will take place on 22 June.
